What income does your household have to prove?
Portugal assesses the main applicant against the national minimum wage — once for the D7, four times for the D8 — then adds a percentage for each additional adult and child.

Meeting the number is not the same as passing. Consulates look at stability and provenance: twelve months of statements, contracts or pension letters, and money that arrives on a predictable schedule. A single large transfer rarely satisfies them.
Savings are treated as support, not as income. A common approach is to hold twelve months of the required amount in an accessible account in addition to the recurring income.
