We make moving to Portugal easier to understand
Who we are, what we do and what we deliberately do not do.
Portugal''s immigration and administrative rules are spread across laws, agencies, consulates and practical processes that rarely reference each other. Visa Portuguese exists to bring that information together into clear guides and planning tools you can actually use to make a decision.
What we do
- Maintain a small set of carefully written pages instead of a large volume of thin ones.
- Keep every changeable figure — income thresholds, fees, cost estimates — in one dated, sourced table that our calculators read from, so a rule change updates the whole site at once.
- Build deterministic tools: the Visa Finder, income requirement, cost of living and moving budget calculators, document checklists and a move roadmap.
What we are not
We are independent. We are not AIMA, the Portuguese Government, a consulate, a law firm or an immigration agency, and we have no affiliation with any of them. We do not provide legal, tax or immigration advice, and we do not claim reader numbers, years of experience, awards or client counts.
Editorial approach
Substantive claims are checked against identified official sources before publication, and every page shows when it was last verified. Where a rule is politically live or regionally inconsistent, we say so rather than presenting a single confident answer.
If you find something outdated or wrong, tell us. Corrections are the most valuable message we receive.
